The first phase of the Aviaatori residential complex, located in Raadi near Tartu and close to the Estonian National Museum, has been completed, with 84 new homes built. The Aviaatori Quarter, designed in collaboration with KUU Architects, draws inspiration from the area’s aviation related history, and the buildings are arranged in a distinctive grid pattern.
The two- to four-bedroom apartments completed in the first phase are located in buildings with elevators, featuring stairwells with natural light, balconies or terraces, and many units also have a private garden. The cost of the first phase of the investment was nearly 11 million euros.
According to Kaspar Markus, Reterra’s sales and marketing director, Aviaatori is a unique green urban complex featuring a diverse and family-friendly courtyard area. Among other things, there is a mini pump track, a sandbox, a greenhouse, an outdoor fitness area, a walking and seating area, a pavilion, and a swing set.
A total of over 600 homes are planned for the Aviaatori quarter, and the second construction phase will begin shortly. According to Markus, people appreciate Raadi’s green living environment, good infrastructure, and safety. Reterra has already built over 360 homes in Raadi for more than 1,000 people and continues to develop a comprehensive and modern living environment in the area.
